Pediatric Dermatology of Orange County offers convenient telemedicine visits for infants, children, and teens throughout California. Whether you live hours from our Irvine office, have a busy schedule, or simply prefer the convenience of virtual care, your child can receive specialized pediatric dermatology care without the drive.

Many common skin, hair, and nail conditions can be evaluated and treated virtually, including eczema, acne, rashes, warts, molluscum, and more.

Telemedicine visits are provided by Alex Allee, PA-C, an experienced physician assistant who has worked alongside board-certified pediatric dermatologist Dr. Brandie Metz for years and is specially trained in evaluating and treating skin conditions in infants, children, and teens.

Not sure if your child’s condition can be treated virtually?

Call us at (949) 336-6569. Our team can help determine whether telemedicine or an in-office visit is the best place to start.

Telemedicine may be especially helpful for:

Parents looking for a pediatric dermatology second opinion

Busy families who want to avoid travel and time away from school or work

Telemedicine is not appropriate for every condition. During your visit, the provider will let you know if an in-person exam, biopsy, or procedure is needed, and we will help you schedule that promptly.

How It Works

  1. Book your appointment. Call (949) 336-6569 to schedule.
  2. Send us photos. Complete your paperwork and upload clear photos of your child’s skin concern before the appointment.
  3. Meet from home. At your appointment time, connect securely from your phone, tablet, or computer. Your child must be present for the visit.
  4. Get a treatment plan. We will discuss the diagnosis, treatment options, and any recommended follow-up and send prescriptions when appropriate.

Specialized expertise

Our practice focuses exclusively on pediatric dermatology, so your child is seen by a provider who treats kids' skin every day, not occasionally.

Convenience without compromise

A telemedicine visit means less time away from school and work, without sacrificing the quality of care.

Statewide access

Telemedicine appointments are available to patients throughout California, bringing specialized pediatric dermatology care to families who may live far from our Irvine office.

A trusted partner in your child's care

Whether your child needs help with a new skin concern or ongoing management of a chronic condition, we’ll provide clear answers and a personalized plan.
